Panoramic x-rays/dvt

Our surgery administration as well as our radiology systems are completely digitalised. Intra-oral or extra-oral pictures are taken. For intra-oral pictures, so-called image memory foils in the mouth are exposed, and this takes place on the dentist's chair. Afterwards the foils are imported into the picture data processing software.

When extra-oral pictures are taken (OPT und DVT), a sensor is circling around the patient's head and the data are transmitted to the computer immediately.

An orthopantogram (OPT) is a device for taking 2D panoramic X-rays. It is part of standard procedure of dental radiography and permits diagnostic pictures of teeth of the human upper and lower jaw.

Digital volume tomography (DVT) is a 3D X-ray imaging technology. A large number of a patient's 2D pictures are taken from different angles. A volumetric 3D picture is calculated from these 2D projections. The resulting pictures can be viewed from any angle using our state-of-the-art imaging programme, including axial, coronal, sagittal and slice planes.
