CAD/CAM technology (cerec)

Since 2009 we have been working with CAD/CAM techniques of the Sirona Company. When CAD/CAM technology is used, first of all an optical imprint of a preparation respectively a model is produced with a camera or a scanner. By means of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) procedure, these pictures are represented on a computer screen, and future restoration is designed by the dentist with a specialized software. Eventually it will be inserted in the patient's mouth by the dentist. Afterwards the construction data will be sent to a computer-steered grinding unit via CAM procedure (Computer-Assisted Manufacturing), and the restoration will be produced fully automatically.
